We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel: the room was a great size, the bathroom was big and really functional with great amenities, the mini-bar was stocked with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages (due to being a New Otani Club Member), there was really good coffee/nespresso machine (the Tokyo blend is one I'll buy at home!) and everything was absolutely spotless. Fluffy towels, clean sheets, great air conditioning, a wide variety and numerous plugs/outlets. The pool was complimentary (again, New Otani Club Member, which is free to join) although we didn't use it due to being out and about. Staff were lovely, and gave us lots of information (admittedly, I asked for the info - map of the area, map of the hotel complex, pool info, restaurant info). People have complained that it's far to the metro, but there are 3 lines that are all within 10 minute walk... and most of that walk is via the inside hotel complex so that seems really convenient to us! It's 15 minutes total to Shinjuki/Shibuya, but a nice quiet location. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants or have breakfast included because they are quite overpriced, but there is a Family Mart convenience store within the complex so we got yoghurt, fruit, etc. to put in the fridge to have for breakfast. The Akasaka-Mitsuke area is very close (10 minute walk) with a huge variety of restaurants, so if you're looking for a local lunch/dinner at very reasonable prices you can go there. In all, I absolutely loved the hotel (and the gardens!) and would truly consider staying again as well as looking at their other locations in Japan when travelling.

- Decent size room for Tokyo, clean, all amenities provided should you need. - Really good location - did the bulk of travel from Akasaka Mitsuke station which you can reach by heading through to the Garden Tower and following signs (ie walking mostly in aircon within the building. This is a game changer in the summer heat and humidity. Use exit D of this station to enter and exit, it’s closest to Garden tower entrance and you can get Ginza line and others). - Convenience of the restaurant floor (several choices and this comes in handy if you’ve been out all day exploring and just want to eat in house). - Breakfast is decent enough (it won’t change your life but it will do). You can have it at four different restaurants and the one with the view in the Garden Tower is really nice. Satsuki seemed to have the most extensive range (the only one with a fresh omelette bar for example) but has a ~1100 yen surcharge. - No extra charge for gym. It isn’t very big but has two treadmills and some other machines. - generally has an old world charm, there’s still an actual pianist in one of the lobby restaurants at certain times. They don’t make hotels like this any more! - gardens are really pretty. - most staff English is good. All very helpful and provide a great service.

The room was pretty large, bathroom had all needed amenities. While initially we thought view toward parking is not the best, we realised next days that we were seeing the mount Fuji. Nice indeed. An excellent breakfast with multiple options, western and asian. We have chosen for two mornings the high floor restaurant in the tower garden hotel which has magnificent views towards the city, including Shinjuku and also towards Fuji san. For the third morning we chose the restaurant with view towards the garden. By the way, the garden is very nice, a walk after breakfast is more than welcomed. Location is excellent, with very facile access to the metro station and from there to all points of interest. Basically you are in the middle of the city!. I really didn't understood the complainings over the distance to the metro station, unless someone needed to get off the bed directly into the station... or maybe they went to a different station.

Hotel was within walking distance of 4 stations, 2 were less than 5min away. The hotel has many restaurant options, ranging from western to Japanese food, even a coffee shop and a convenience store. Hotel has a beautiful garden along other facilities Service was great. Room was clean and looked recently refurbished, it was a good size (in general and not just for tokyo size) and had very good amenities. I chose the room.with the traditional Japanese bath. I recommend the experience This is the 2nd trip where I stay in this hotel, and I will do so again next time

Location was good for first time in Tokyo as there were three, maybe 4, subway stations in easy walking distance, so access to lots of major lines and neighbourhoods was easy. We also paid for a very good value upgrade to a spacious suite on a lower floor (my husband doesn't like heights!) - it was really big and excellent!! Nice beds, linen, pillows and pyjamas! Very comfortable. The Japanese garden was nice too.
